Here’s how game importing works:
- When you first join, we import up to your last 100 games played before joining.
- New games are added to your account every day, usually around 9:00 PM EST. To keep things running smoothly, we prioritize updates for users who actively use Sensei each week. If you haven’t been using the platform recently, your games might not show up right away. To restart the updates, simply use Sensei to analyze your games or chat with your coach. This will ensure your games are imported again.
- If your most recent game isn’t showing yet, don’t worry — it’s likely queued for the next import cycle.

To use chat, make sure you’ve:
- Set your default language on the profile page (even if you're using English).
- If you see an error the first time you try to chat, it's usually because no language has been selected yet.
Bonus: You can chat with Sensei in your native language — just pick your preferred language in settings!
Yes! You can.. however in our v1 of the canvas you have to make the moves for both the AI and yourself, but the AI will type out the moves. Go ahead try to win against sensei!
To chat with Sensei about a specific game, you’ll first need to click “Get Insights” on that game. This step runs a full analysis and gives the coach access to your game’s data — without it, Sensei doesn’t have the context to guide you properly. Think of it like this: no insights = no memory. Once insights are generated, you can ask anything — from tactics to what went wrong in your endgame!
